Ipswich Underground Helps Raise Over £7,000 for Suffolk Mind
We did it.
Ipswich Underground helped raise over £7,000 for mental health support through Suffolk Mind at a powerful community fundraiser held in Stowmarket this November.
Hosted at The Little Wellington, the event brought together live music, art, auctions, and an outpouring of community support, all in aid of Suffolk Mind and Stowmarket Foodbank.
From 3pm, the venue was alive with live bands and performances, setting the tone for a day built around energy, generosity, and grassroots action. As the music rolled on, the crowd built, and so did the fundraising total.
By 5pm, attention shifted to a packed auction featuring donated artwork, memorabilia, and unique items from across the region. Bidding was fast, competitive, and driven by one clear goal: make a difference.
One standout moment of the day saw a signed football raise £1,500 on its own, enough to support counselling services for around 30 people through Suffolk Mind. A single item, delivering real-world impact.
Earlier in the day, from 12pm, guests were invited to view the artwork and auction pieces, placing bids or submitting sealed offers. The response was immediate, with strong interest across every part of the collection.
A huge thank you goes out to Roman for organising and driving the event, alongside Debbie, the artists, musicians, and everyone who donated time, work, or items to make this happen. This was community fundraising at its best, local people stepping up for local need.
Events like this matter. Not just because of the money raised, but because they directly support more people across Suffolk to access vital mental health counselling and services when they need them most.
£7,000 raised. One town. One day. Real impact.
Ipswich Underground is proud to be part of it, and proud to shout about the people who make things like this happen.
